Learn About The Wildlife
Lions are one of the world’s most iconic big cats, renowned for their strength, social bonds, and thunderous roar.
White lions are not a separate species to African lions – their pale fur is caused by a genetic condition called leucism, which reduces pigmentation. In the wild, lions with this genetic condition have only ever been found in the Timbavati region around Kruger National Park in South Africa.
Here at West Midlands Safari Park, you can watch the female white lion pride as they relax, play, and explore their specially designed habitat – a rare chance to see these beautiful big cats up close.
